FNDZ is a blockchain-based social trading platform that enables anyone to grow their crypto Portfolio. The way it works is simple: connect your Web3 wallet, choose from a selection of cryptocurrency vaults run by experienced traders, make a deposit and automatically copy their trades.
1.1 Connect your wallet
The first step in vault creation is connecting your wallet. You can do this by clicking the ‘Connect Wallet’ button in the top, left-hand corner. To connect your wallet, agree to the terms and conditions and select the appropriate network and wallet.
1.2 Upload your profile picture
After connecting with your wallet, you can create an avatar by clicking on your wallet address in the top, left-hand corner. Scroll through and choose from the available avatars or generate new ones by clicking the double arrow symbol. You can also upload your own!
2.1 Prefer light over dark mode?
Select settings and more at the bottom left hand corner of the page. To turn dark mode off and get light mode back, toggle the “Sun” icon option. Get the best of both worlds by toggling the ‘Mix’ display.
2.2 Display vault information in different currencies
It is possible to change the currency in which the vaults’ performance and value are measured, by clicking on the drop-down menu next to your wallet address in the top, right-hand corner. To the left of the currency drop-down menu are options for a light or dark view of the page.
2.3 Share price display
Clicking on the graph of any vault will reveal the ‘share price’. Share price indicates the price of a single share of a number of saleable equity shares of a vault.
3.1 Browse the leaderboard
The retail user view gives you an overview of the 20 top performing vaults. Vaults are ranked by an algorithm which considers a variety of parameters, including the number of trades and depositors, profit and loss (PnL), and total assets under management.
3.2 Toggle between card and list view
Prefer to view the leaderboard in list view? Just use the top right hand toggle to switch between grid and list displays!
3.3 Found a profitable vault? Mark it as favorite
Have you found a vault that you want to save because of its performance? You can easily add a vault to your favorites list. Selecting the star icon will make the vault appear in the ‘Favorite vaults’ tab.
3.4 Applying search filters to vaults
You can apply search filters by clicking the filter icon on the right-hand side of the ‘Browse Vaults’ page. Clicking this will display four parameters which can be used to filter through all vaults on FNDZ. Use the fields in the filters to narrow down your results by ‘TVL (Total Value Locked)’, ‘Performance all time’, ‘Performance this month’ and ‘Vault Age’. You can modify the currency in which your search results are displayed by changing the ‘Denomination asset’ in the dropdown-menu on the right hand side of the filters.
4.1 Giving FNDZ permission to exchange your tokens
Before you can make a deposit into a vault, you must give FNDZ permission to exchange tokens from your wallet. This process is required only once. To get started, click "Deposit" in the upper right corner of any vault. Then, in the pop-up window, first select "Unlock" and then "Unlock Permanently". Finally, click "Confirm" in your MetaMask wallet and wait for the transaction to be confirmed in your MetaMask.
Please note: this approval action requires a BNB transaction, so you will pay a nominal gas fee in BNB tokens.
4.2 Making a deposit into a vault
In the top, right-hand corner of the vault view page is the “Deposit” button. Clicking this will bring up an interface allowing you to choose the amount and type of asset you wish to deposit into the vault. To make a deposit, simply specify the amount and type of asset to be deposited and check the box to indicate agreement with the terms and conditions.
Please note: In order to make a deposit into a vault on the platform, you will need to have enough BNB in your wallet to cover the gas fees.
5.1 How to withdraw your funds from a vault
Deposits will show up in the vault view under the “My Deposits” heading and can be withdrawn by clicking on the “Withdraw” button. Clicking this will bring up an interface allowing you to choose the amount of funds you wish to withdraw from the vault. To withdraw your funds, simply specify the amount to be withdrawn and click “Withdraw”.
Please note: In order to withdraw from a vault, you will need to have enough BNB in your wallet to cover the gas fees.
6.1 Keeping track of your deposits and performance
Once you have deposited into a vault you can manage it and view its performance by clicking the ‘My Portfolio’ button. Clicking this button will bring you to the portfolio management page.
The portfolio management page contains an overview of key statistics and figures related to your deposits. At the top, you will find four boxes showing you, from left to right, the current holdings; total deposit value; average monthly return; and total profits.
7.1 Create your first vault
Once your wallet is connected a message will pop up asking whether you want to create a new vault or browse the details of the vaults you have already created. To create a vault, click “Create Vault.” This will open the vault creation tool.
Please note: In order to create a vault on the platform, you will need to have enough BNB in your wallet to cover the gas fees.
7.2 Set a management fee
Select whether you wish to charge a management and/or a performance fee. Use the sliders to select any value between 0-3% for the management fee. The management fee is paid once upon entry to the vault.
7.3 Set a performance fee
Select whether you wish to charge a performance fee. Use the sliders to select any value between 0-30% for the performance fee. The performance fee is charged periodically (this period being known as the “crystallization period”) on profits.
7.4 Want to run an exclusive vault?
It is possible to whitelist addresses who can deposit into your vault, meaning that entry into it is made on an invitation-only basis. If you add addresses to the whitelist, no other addresses than those listed will be able to enter your vault. To make your vault invite-only, toggle the “Limit who can deposit” button and enter the addresses you wish to add to the white list.
7.5 Determine withdrawal time-locks
Timelocks represent a period of time during which a depositor cannot withdraw their contribution from your vault. Setting such a time-lock can protect against various types of arbitrage, but it is important that you think carefully about the extent of timelock, before implementing it as it cannot be changed after your vault has been created.
7.6 Review settings and create your vault
Finally, the “Review” page shows you an overview of your selected settings. It is very important that you review all your settings as many of them cannot be changed after vault creation! When you are happy with the settings you have chosen, check the box to indicate agreement with the terms and conditions and then hit the “Create” button.
8.1 Viewing your vault’s performance
The vault management page contains an overview of key statistics and figures related to your vault(s). At the top, you will find four boxes showing you, from left to right, the total amount deposited; the total number of depositors; average monthly return; and total profits.
8.2 Viewing your vault’s asset composition
Each vault will show you the assets that are held within the vault. This makes for an easy to understand overview of all the assets and their performance within a particular vault.
8.3 Managing several vaults and appointing extra traders
You can create and manage multiple vaults at the same time. You can also add managers to your vault and manage a vault together with one or more people. The middle part of the vault management page contains a list of all the vaults under your management. You can create as many vaults as you wish.
8.4 Viewing your vault’s configuration
The vault view page contains a summary of the configuration and key settings of your vault, including the timelock period, denomination, and smart contract addresses.
8.5 How to place a trade
Next to the “Vault overview” tab is the “Trade” tab. Clicking this tab will take you to the vault manager’s trading interface, containing buttons for buying and selling as well as graphs of price movements. Not all assets are listed; only those which have passed a rigorous vetting process are available for trading by vault managers. Before you begin trading, you must ensure that you have deposited stablecoins into your vault.
Please note: In order to trade crypto in a vault, you will need to have enough BNB in your wallet to cover the gas fees.
8.6 Claiming your performance and management fees
Vault owners will have a dashboard in which both the performance and the management fee can be claimed. These can be claimed on the date shown in the ‘Claim date’ section. All rewards will be shown in the top section of the ‘Claim rewards’ page.
Please note: In order to claim fees, you will need to have enough BNB in your wallet to cover the gas fees.
